Liveaboard Boat to the Tubbataha Reef

Some friends of friends of ours had booked a vacation to this reef, but weren't able to go and had to either eat the loss or sell it within a week, so Heath and I jumped on the chance to go to a top diving spot (at a significant discount)! We left Manila and flew to the island of Palawan, then hopped aboard a boat and rode 10 hours (while we slept) back towards Manila to anchor in the middle of the Sulu Sea for 5 days....where we totally relaxed and made 4 dives a day! While we are something of novice divers, the rest of the passengers were pretty hard core, so we learned a lot and were amazed by the beauty of God's underwater world....
